On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,631. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.336billion and the number of lots traded 11,636.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.449 billion, followed by NSDQ100PKR 1.133billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.089 billion , currencies through COTS PKR 1.064billion, platinum PKR 193.386million, DJ (PKR 179.196 million, silver PKR 87.069 million, natural gas PKR 53.482 million, copper PKR 46.101 million, SP500 PKR 26.964 million, Brent crude oil PKR 10.532 million and Japan Equity Index PKR 2.820 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of cotton valued at PKR 0.507 million was traded.
